DESCRIPTION:Vrijdag 18 april 2025: ‘Seymour – an introduction’ REPLAY \nAls er een documentaire is die mij elke keer weer ontroerd\, is het de film van deze inspiratieavond. \nJullie zien het prachtige en ontroerende portret van de 89 jarige (inmiddels midden 97!) pianist\, docent en inspirator Seymour Bernstein (1932) die op 50 jarige leeftijd zijn carrriere als concertpianist opgeeft en zich richt op het lesgeven/ masterclasses. Een documentaire gemaakt door regisseur/ acteur Ethan Hawks die Seymour ontmoet op een moment waarop hij zelf vast zit in zijn leven. Een ontmoeting inspireert hem tot het maken van dit portret. \nEen avond met veel muziek\, boeiende interviews en wijsheden. De kracht van muziek.  Een must see. \n  \nLife has conflicts and pleasures\, harmony and dissonance. That’s how life is. Can’t escape it. By the way\, the same thing occurs in music. There are dissonances and harmony and resolutions. I believe that you won’t enjoy the resolution unless you have that dissonance. What would it be if we didn’t have the dissonance? We wouldn’t know the meaning of the resolution. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStart 20.00 uur.
